20. The service at my house was not
satisfactory.
-
Those who feel this way expect the driver to do something
fancy at the door, more than just deliver a pizza.
-
This is an incorrect view of the driver's job.
The service of the driver is to deliver. If the driver
failed to deliver, that would be unsatisfactory. Since the driver made it
to your door, the job was accomplished.
-
The driver did 99% of the work by driving and finding
your house.
-
The driver is not a salesperson who uses gimmicks
to get attention.
-
The driver does not jump through "hoops" or performs
a song and a dance for you. The driver is not your butler.
-
At the door, the driver simply hands over the pizza
and you make payment. That's all. We're not allowed to enter your house.
We're not supposed to carry it to your table, let alone serve slices.
-
The driver should be pleasant at the door and say a greeting and carry a brief conversation. It should be over in thirty seconds. The situation does not allow much room for creativity. If, somehow, the driver was rude during the brief transaction, then you have reason to say the service was unsatisfactory.
-
If you received the wrong pizza,
the driver was the store's messenger, simply following bad
orders in this case.
-
If you consider late delivery
unsatisfactory service, the driver doesn't make it late.
