Leaving the tip and total lines blank is like handing someone a blank check. It opens the possibility for abuse, that someone could write themself a tip. We know that most drivers would never do that, but there's a chance an unscrupulous driver could or maybe someone in management higher up the chain. If management does, all eyes will likely focus on the driver. For security's sake, yours and the driver's, you really should fill out the tip and total lines.
