The most aggravating things about being a driver

1. People who don't tip.

This is every delivery driver's #1 complaint. The customer paid for the food but did not acknowledge the service. If you enjoy having it delivered, you should tip the driver.

Don't waste the driver's time if you're not going to tip. Pick it up at the store yourself. Delivery is not a volunteer job. Do these people think we work for free? Aren't you happy to see the driver? Don't you like the convenience of delivery to your door? Then tip the driver. Not tipping is offensive.

Do these people want pizza delivery to exist? When you don't tip, it discourages the driver. We have seen many drivers quit because too many people who don't tip. Do they want all the drivers to quit? The message they send is they want delivery but they don't want delivery. So hypocritical.

This is why it's so inconsiderate to stiff a driver. Not tipping is the same as a prank. It is the same as any other kind of canceled order. My services were unwanted in a prank order. When a customer chooses to stiff me, it also means my services were unwanted. They wanted the food but took me for granted. In both cases, the driver ends up with nothing because tips are all that matter. I receive the same minimum or sub-minimum wage no matter how many deliveries I get. If I deliver a prank, I miss a legitimate run; if I get stiffed, I miss a tipped run. There's no monetary difference. A canceled order is slightly better than a stiff, however, because I can eat the food. If you plan to stiff the driver, you might as well send the driver back to the store with the food. Both actions are equally cruel.
