Delivery story 55

Dan writes:

I've been delivering pizzas for Domino's for about a year now and herein Silver City, New Mexico we get the usual folks who order a pizza, then think they've got plenty of time to go to the grocery store andback before their pizza arrives, the usual non-tippers (some of themare DOCTORS...) and the usual folks who don't have a clue what they wanton their pizza before calling to order it.

The best one lately, though, was when I was sent to the maternity ward atthe local hospital. Assuming the pizza went to the nurse's station, that's where I headed when I entered the baby delivery area. Nope. Some folks standing in the doorway to a delivery room hailed me down. Iwent in there to find a woman in labor in the middle of a contraction. The daddy and grandpa had ordered the pizza.

Grandma was sitting in a chair next to the bed and she got out a wad ofone-dollar bills and tossed them into the hand of the gal in the throes ofa contraction.

"What the 'F' is this?" she screamed.

"It's for the pizza, m'ija. I can't count it. Can you count it?"

"What 'F'-ing pizza?" this expectant mother screamed. I reached over tothe bed, took the money which was falling out of the woman's hand andgave it to the father, who promptly counted out $12.00. He told me tokeep the change. The total for the pizza was $11.70. Nice 30-cent tipfor all that, ay?
