Delivery story 52

I worked in Michigan at a privately owned pizza joint/4-star restaurant withfull bar and the works. I was delivering one night and a call came in at about 11:43 PM, two minutes before we cut delivery. Unknown to me at the time, these people had asked the driver to bring change for $100.

I got to the house at about 12:00 (right when we close) and there weretwo guys standing out front waiting for their ribs and bread, about a $50 order. Everything was going fine. I handed the guy on the left the food. Then, all of a sudden, the guy on the right pushed a handgun into my ribs demanding my money. Having a three-month old at home, I complied. They told me to get into my car and leave. It being a real gun, they had me.

I drove away with the kid chasing me with a gun and I dialed 911. Their response time was poor at best, and to no surprise, the police lost them. (There are only two ways into the neighborhood and I guess blocking the entrances for violent crimes must not be procedure.)

I went to work the next day and I was notcompensated for any of my missing money. They said when there's a conviction, I'll get my wages back (which will never happen.) So now I know that I risk my life for nothing and my value as an employee is non-existent.
