Delivery story 476

I work for Papa John's in southwest Georgia. One night I had this customer call up an hour before closing. Which I didn't mind. After ordering her pizza she kept asking me if she could get free garlic sauce. I told her that you get one free with one free pepperoncinis pepper. She kept going on about why she couldn't get another free garlic cup. I explained that it is product: the first one is free but any extra we charge. I wanted to say, "Well, how many free sauces does Pizza Hut or Domino's give you with each pizza?"

So she got over it and said that when the driver gets there she would pay with her debit card. I told her that she has to pay with her debit card over the phone so we can have the slip for you to sign. She got mad and demanded a manager. Of course, after claiming that I wasn't rude but not friendly, she got her free garlic cup.

I went on a run and came back and had the misfortune of either taking a double which would include her order or a single. I chose to do the right thing and took her pizza and to top it off took her order first. While I was there she asked me if I was the one on the phone and I said yes. She then said, "Did you learn your lesson about being rude?" I just oookay. She then said, "I guess not." She took the pizza and I said, "Here. You have to sign this." Naturally no tip. She then wanted her copy and said, "Give me my copy, fatty." I said sure and started laughing at her. She weighed ten times as much as I did. Thankfully, I never saw her address up there again and hopefully never will.

In my experience, pizza places gets the shaft from customers. The main ones that complain are the main ones that don't tip. And they always want something free. However, we have a lot of good customers that make up for people like her.
