Delivery story 467

One time I was delivering during a rain like no other, comparable to hurricane rain (not wind) and freezing winds, too. I needed the defroster on or else I might as well have been blind. It was a good ways to their house since I counted about 13 miles out. Once I enter their trailer park I proceed to find the right one. Guess what. It was the only trailer that did not have a cover at the front door. So while I was standing outside watching him count out the ones to twenty five dollars, again the rain and freezing wind were hammering down on me and his pizza bag.

After about four minutes he gives me the money. Even the tip did not add up to a single dollar. I handed him the pizza and drove off. Upon returning back to my store my manager just go off the phone with the customer saying his pizza was cold. I'm like, hello, you didn't invite me in, you jerk. To make it worse, from the entrance of the trailer I saw a perfectly shiny oven and a microwave. Luckily the manager didn't give in to them and told them it was raining and too bad you're not getting a freebie. Never heard from that customer since.

Moral of story: let your driver in when it's raining and freezing so your pizza would not have gotten cold.
