Delivery story 458 Jimmy writes: I use to be a delivery driver before I was offered another job. One time I took a delivery to a huge trophy ceremony for a kids baseball team. They had ordered 40 one-topping pizzas (sold it to them for 7.99 instead of the regular $11 price) which I took to them. For one, out of the 100 or so people that were there, none of them would bother to help me walk across a field several times carrying all this food. (Most people will help with large orders.) Secondly, I had to wait 15 minutes for their meeting to get done to receive the method of payment. At $4.25 an hour for an extra 15 minutes, I was not happy. Finally when she hands me the check for about $319 she gives exact change. Then she goes to tell me that she is sorry because she doesn't have enough money to tip me. We gave her discounts of over $100 and she orders 40 pizzas, yet somehow has no money to tip me! It sure did ruin my day.
