Delivery story 394

DominosMike writes:

I have been delivering pizzas for the past 13 years full-time and at times part-time. Last night was the first time I have been robbed. It was the last delivery of the night and it was to a low to middle class apartment complex. I should have known something was wrong when the woman who answered the door said she didn't order. But, stupid me, I rationalized that I could find the person in a different building.

Walking back to my car, I heard a noise off to my right. When I looked I saw the guy pull down a ski mask and point his gun at me. He asked for my money and to lay face down on the ground. I gave him the $15 I had on me and laid down on the ground like he asked. The scariest part was when he put the muzzle of the gun to the back of my head and told me not to move, and he took about $40 worth of food and the hot bag. I heard him get in a car and drive off, so I jumped in mine and went back to the store and called the police. I would have called from the robbery site but my cell phone was not working properly.

I'll tell you this. If the police catch this guy, I will be there when the judge sentences him to prison. To those of you who read these stories and think they are just fun and games, let me say this: this job can be dangerous.
