I deliver for a pizza restaurant in Newport, RI. There's a doctor who lives about three miles from downtown Newport. It was rush hour on a Friday, our busiest night. I pulled up to his million dollar house within a half hour, knocked on the door and waited a minute, only for him to come to the door and ask me to hold on one more minute.
Then he asked me the total. I told him $21 even. He handed me a wad of bills and said, "There's $19 there. Let me get the rest." As I heard the emptying of the change jar I decided to count the money he gave me. It was $14 dollars. Five short of what he told me. I brought this to his attention and he seemed annoyed. "Okay!! Hold ON!!" Meanwhile I had two other orders in the car getting cold.
He finally got to the door with a handful of quarters and said, "Here's $8." I took my other two deliveries and returned to the store. As I counted the change I found he gave me $7 in coins. Are you kidding me?? All that time just to get stiffed!!
