Delivery story 31

Brenda McCann writes:

I deliver for Domino's in Tennessee. I had a credit card delivery to a hospital room that already had a $3 tip attached to it. Very happy to make the delivery, I found the hospital room and inside was a sad but friendly older man and an unconscious woman in the bed, who I presumed was his wife. He was confused but very polite and said he did not order a pizza. I double-checked the room number and the name and he confirmed it. I told him it was already paid for with a credit card and he realized that his daughter must have ordered it for him.

This act of kindness made him smile and as he signed the slip and gave it back to me. He said, "Oh, wait. Let me get you a tip." I told him there was already a tip added in and to enjoy his pizza. He was very grateful and I drove away happy to be part of a good deed to such a nice man.

When I got back to the store, the manager surprised me by telling me the customer had called back and added another $2 to my tip. If only everyone were so kind.
