Delivery story 287

There was a guy in a brand new F250 ($50,000 truck) backing up out of one of the parking lots in front of an apartment building. I slowed down just to make sure this jackass saw me. Then I continued about my "peaceful journey" and sped back up to 25. I looked in my rear view and this guy was up my ass. So I sped up to 30, which was as fast as I was going to go. (Five over the speed limit, mind you.) He proceeded to follow me to a main road where it was 45 mph. I rolled out doing 50. He was still up my ass so I said, "Screw it. I'll lose him in a turn coming up." I cranked it up to about 70 to try to lose this guy. He was still up my ass.

We got up to the stop light. He pulled up next to me and slammed on his brakes and said, "You need to slow the f---k down. I have kids in that apartment complex." I really, really wanted this guy to get out of his truck. The beat-down of a lifetime is what he would have gotten. I let him have it. I said, "Wait wait wait. You have kids that live in that apartment complex and yet you drive a fifty thousand dollar truck?! (It had out-of-state plates.) Did it come with a radar?!" He looked at his dash. LOL. "You also just told me in so many words that you let your kids play in a darkly lit apartment complex with no supervision. What kind of parent are you?"

Needless to say, the only thing he could reply with was, "I'm calling your store." And I told him the same thing I tell everyone else that has a complaint. "It's not going to matter. They are just going to laugh at you." And he drove off. I guess the important thing is he got to b!#%* in an indirect way at someone for how miserable his life is and the horrible decisions he makes. LOL. What a jerk.
