Delivery story 234

Nutter Butter writes:

I worked for Domino's in VA and we had this one lady who never failed to order at least once a week and no one ever wanted to deliver to her house. Her yard was unkempt and grown up and she would always ask you to come in and put the pizza on her couch. When you went inside, her house smelled like urine. And in the wintertime, when she had the kerosene heater on, it smelled like burnt urine. And her son, who was an able body adult, used to work for Domino's and would chase me outside and ask me, "So, how are things in hell?" One time, he even told me he wanted one of my managers to die a slow and painful death. After that, I would not put that lady's pizza on her couch and I would run to my car and try to get away without the son noticing me.

Another incident was when I delivered to this guy who lived in a nice apartment complex. He had a gift certificate and at that time, if you had one and had it delivered, you still had to pay the delivery charge, which was 75 cents at the time. So he brings me the gift certificate and gives me the 75 cents. Then he actually goes back into his house and brings me back three pennies and a nickel. An eight-cent tip. He shut the door and I threw the change at it and walked off. He obviously needed it more than me.

Being a female delivery driver, it was hard to deal with a lot of the harassment I got. I had a fifteen-year-old kid climb into the passenger side window and ask me when "I was gonna let him hit it." Needless to say, they got blacklisted.

I have a ton of stories because I'm on my sixth year of delivery and I ran a Domino's for a while as well as running shifts, but I'll just leave y'all with those tasty little tidbits for now.
