I worked at a Pizza Hut in a small town in Illinois for about two years. Of course, I have had many crazy stories but this one comes to mind.
It was about five minutes before closing time. If I was alone, I would not have taken this order but the store manager was there and we got a call. She takes the order. Of course they want delivery, so I made the pizzas. They ordered six large pizzas and pop and wings. The total was about seventy bucks. I packed everything up and drove to their house about ten minutes away.
I was pretty upset because I was supposed to leave work about a half hour ago, so when I couldn't find the place I got a little more upset. I called and they gave me directions. I asked if there was a house number and then the guy laughed and said he gave me the wrong address by mistake. He had just moved in so he apologized, but it didn't help much.
When I finally got there, they asked me to come in and there was a group of ten 20-year-olds. They asked for the total. Then a girl came out with a big jar of quarters. They started counting out the quarters. They paid me seventy dollars with just quarters. Of course no tip! They didn't even give me a bag or anything so I had seventy dollars in quarters in my pockets and apron. It was horrible.
