Delivery story 202

Driver's best friend writes:

My closest friends all deliver pizza for a living, so I hear the best stories. This one is one of my favorites.

My best friend works for a owner-operated pizza and sub shop in Amherst, Mass. Delivering to college students is usually unprofitable. When you get a residential or business delivery it is a relief. Not on this morning. His first delivery of the day was to the local Michael's Crafts in the next town over. The total for the order came to $35.67. When the driver went in, delivered the food and counted the money, he counted $36. When he asked, "What, no tip?" the manager replied, "It's not my food. I don't know." To this my friend replied, "I hope you f@*#in choke."

When the customer called the store the owner asked if he gave the driver a tip. When the customer said it wasn't his food and that he had no control over the tip, the owner replied, "I have no control over my drivers," and hung up.

This vindicates my feelings that the customer isn't always right!
