Delivery story 201

Als#1Driver writes:

This happened when I was working at a store called Palumbo Pizza two years ago. I get a delivery at 9 PM to a house with an address that is two miles on the road behind our store. It is raining that night so the woman of the house invites me in while she pays for the food. I stepped in and noticed they have a few cats, maybe 5 to 10. I made the comment, "Wow, you sure have a lot of cats." She said to me, "Do you want one?" I was stunned, but at the moment I noticed one cat who was maybe four or five months old had walked up to me. The other cats completely ignored me. I ask her, "Are you sure?" She says, "Yes. We have a baby on the way and need to get rid of the cats." No sooner as she says this the cat that was walking up to me decides to put his front paws up on my leg and start to sniff. As she was handing me the money, this kitten was rubbing my legs and making friends with me.

I told her I would return at 10 PM and get this little guy. Well, I picked him up after my shift was over, and to this day, two years later to the day, October 15th, I still have him. He is a sweet cat who loves to cuddle, follows me around the house, and basically idolizes me. She also tipped well, I think like 6 dollars or something. Mr Jinx goes to show you that not all tips are cash. At the time, I was going through some major personal problems and felt very alone in the world and he came along at the right time for me. The people that gave him to me have since moved yet their tip lives on. He is a healthy 20-pound tabby cat who I still adore.
