Delivery story 182

Two related stories.

I live in the high dollar area of Nashville, Tennessee and have a lot of well known musicians getting pizza. Several pizza stores were owned/run by members of my family so I'd rather not name them.

One night I was delivering to a "not to be named" very attractive and well known Christian/pop musician. I drove up to the front gate and the security guard that is normally there wasn't, but gate was open, so I drove on to the house. Rang doorbell, waited, rang doorbell again, waited again. After a few minutes the door was flung open and this very attractive female singer was standing there in her towel, dripping wet. When she saw I was the pizza guy she absolutely went off on me. She was cursing so much I thought my ears would shrivel up. She gives me just enough for the pizza and slammed the door in my face.

When I got back to the store I told the others about it and they were in disbelief. A few minutes later she called the store and asks to speak to me. She apologized profusely and said the guard was supposed to be at his post, he wasn't, and she was just surprised that I was able to come right to the house. She sent an assistant to the store later that night with a $20 tip for me. Crazy turn of events!

A great story where I will name names is George Jones and his wife Nancy. They have a really big estate and sometimes they order. Sometimes it's the guys that live on the farm that work for them. All of them are really friendly and down to earth. The farmworkers always tip $5 or so, well worth going there. You can expect at least $20 from George and Nancy (again, super nice people.) My brother delivered to them recently and was given an $83 tip! $16 and change order, $100 bill given and no change. He tried giving them change and they kept refusing. You never know what will happen on the road.
