Delivery story 180

Smitty writes:

When I worked for Papa John's in Hoover, AL I made good money and most of the customers were great. On occasion, though, you'd find some bastard just too self-absorbed to consider the pizza guy.

I delivered a pizza to one guy who not only stiffed me, he turned off his porch lights before I made it all the way back down his steep brick stairs. It was dark and I went flying down the last 4 or 5 stairs onto the concrete below just as soon as the lights went out. I took the fall well (turns out those hotbags double as fall protection) and ended up with just a badly sprained wrist. I finished my shift, too.

The upside was that the tips I got from more sympathetic customers for the rest of the night covered the doctor's visit.
