Delivery story 164

The Dude writes:

I was working for a Domino's franchise in Michigan when this happened. It was about 5 years ago.

One of the female drivers came back from a delivery saying the gentleman was rather strange and something about him creeped her out. We all shrugged it off until a week later when he called again.

Luck of the draw gave her the delivery again, but she asked me if I would take it. Seeing a couple of cents to add to my take home pay, I decided "what the hey."

I got there and some dude in his undies opened the door. He was rather sick looking but not creepy. He didn't say a word. He just looked at me for a moment and then gestured me into the house. I stepped in and held the door open with my foot to make a quick escape should the need arise.

I looked around the living room in amazment. It was covered wall to wall in stacks of newspaper and magazines about three or four feet tall with a couple of paths going through it. It looked like a maze.

The guy walked into his kitchen and disappeared from view. As I looked around, I met eyes with a dude that was TOTALLY emancipated. It looked like he hadn't eaten in years. No hair. No clothes. He just stood there in his underwear staring at me. Just then, I noticed the dude who answered the door was standing in the kitchen doorway, staring at the dude who was staring at me. A lot of staring going on.

The bigger dude threaded his way through the maze and grabbed the skinny guy and drug him into the kitchen. I just stood there in a mild state of shock. It was the slap and the muffled cry that got my feet moving. I hauled arse to the nearest pay phone (didn't have a cell phone at that point) and called the store to let them know something was definitely not right. My manager, on a whim, contacted local police. This is where it gets weird.

It turns out the creepy guy who answered the door was something of a zookeeper. His charges were for kidnapping women. The skinny dude that stood in the doorway watching me was actually one of the women who had escaped her chamber in the attic. She had been held captive for over a year.

Believe it if you want, but it's true.
