I'm a manager for Domino's pizza in Waikiki which just happens to be in Western Australia. I have a story I would like to share.
One Wednesday evening I was the closing manager. As I didn't have any drivers available, I had to keep one of my instores back to run the shop while I took deliveries. I delivered to a house in Secret Harbour which obviously had nobody there, so I parked up out front and rang the phone number on the docket. An elderly lady answered the phone and informed me that she didn't order pizza to begin with. Just as I was about to leave, three guys with knifes came up to me and ordered me out of the car. I did as they said and they went through my car. Funny enough, though, they only took the pizzas. They neglected my float on the passenger seat and a wad of my own cash sitting on the centre console.
When I got back to the store, I called the police and informed them about what happened and they assured me they would look into it. Two or three days later, one of the guys came into the store and returned the two hot bags he had taken. As he left the shop he said to me, "Sorry mate. I forgot to give these back," and with a huge grin on his face, walked out to his car with his mates and drove off. Straight away, I called the police and gave them the number plate of the car. The next day I found out the guys had been caught and were charged with assault and armed robbery. Talk about stupid. Although they never paid, I bet those are going to be the most expensive pizzas they ever bought!
