14. It took longer than 30 minutes.

In the 1980's, Domino's had a unique offer. They guaranteed delivery in 30 minutes or else it
was free. Soon, everyone expected 30-minute delivery, even if they ordered from a company that never had the offer.

The guarantee caused serious problems. Drivers were causing accidents and running red lights
to get it delivered on time. In 1993, Domino's lost a major lawsuit and was
forced to drop their guarantee.

It took the lesson of Domino's and many terrible
accidents before the world understood that 30 minutes is untenable. The 30-minute guarantee is impossible.

You have no right to expect 30 minutes unless you
were told 30 minutes on the phone.

Respect the delivery time you were told. It is not a guarantee. The time is only an estimate.
