Simple mistakes 1. The check is not written. Please have the check made out before the driver arrives. Searching for the checkbook and writing the check slows the driver and delays your pizza. After you write the check in advance, it's a good idea to have it easily accessible. Keep the check in your pocket or leave it near the front door. Again, it's okay if you would like to include the TIP on the check. This saves you from having to search for cash to cover the tip. It also prevents the middleman from intercepting and stealing the tip. If you aren't sure what kind of tip to leave, you can write the rest of the check in advance and fill in the amount later.
