| The most aggravating things about
being a driver
6. People who compliment for timely
delivery and don't tip.
You arrive early and they compliment
you for being early. After that, they don't tip. What does it take to please
some people? This is cruel. It would be more respectful if they said nothing about
it if they won't tip.
-
This happens so often, whenever I hear
a customer praise me for getting it there so fast, I cringe and wonder if
there's going to be no tip. If you want to praise the driver for being early, please
wait until after you tip us. Then we can believe your compliment was not an empty verbal tip.
-
It seems there is an unwritten rule.
If you ever get the pizza to the customer in 20 minutes or less, there is
almost always no tip. They do not respect excellent service.
-
When you arrive early, no matter what
the delivery time, it means you could have waited. You thought it
would be best to hurry and be prompt. Then you get no tip for your extra
effort. This makes me wonder if it's ever worth it.
