| The most aggravating things about
being a driver
14. People who say "Don't worry about
the change."
This is in reference to coins
from the next highest dollar when a customer does not tip. The order might be $21.95. They hand you $22 and say, "Don't
worry about the change." The remark is very insulting. There are two ways
a driver wants to respond.
-
1. What makes you think I would worry
about 5 cents?
-
2. I am worried if that's my tip. I
need to pay my bills, not buy a gumball from a machine.
- It's like the customer says not to worry that they just took advantage of you and wasted your time. Don't worry about being reduced to sub-minimum wage. Don't worry about being insulted when nothing was wrong. This is a very callous thing to say!
