About 9 pm I jumped on the Cut because other driver had runs up and everyone else had gone home. Just GM, cook & 2 drivers. They were already missing a Big Box Dinner. OK! Next C/O pie came out. Stuffed Crust Pep Lvrs. I "whack, pack & stack it" in the Hot Hold's bottom shelf with the ticket, held by a magnet on the door, next to it. Run back to cut. Next C/O is a THIN CRUST 1/2 & 1/2 with a dozen toppings on each side.(Boy are they gonna be surprised when they find out the $10 ANY WAY YOU WANT IT deal is over.) I put it on the second rack in the Hot Hold, ticket on door next to it. Next two are my Del orders. I put them together, and take my run. When I get back, as I'm walking between the oven & cut, with radio blasting, GM says something, but all I can make out is "Pie". I turn and ask, You talkin' to me? "Yeah, you fvcked up a C/O order." How do you fiqure that? I only cut 2 C/O orders and if one custy got the wrong pie, the other should be calling any minute, now. (They did) . "They,(cook & other driver) said you were on the cut, when it happened." Any chance the screw up happened between the Hot Hold and the Drive Thru? Maybe someone grabbed the wrong box? I just had eye surgery and have 20/20 vision. After 8 years, if I can't tell the difference between a Stuff Crust Pep Lvrs and a THIN CRUST 1/2 & 1/2 Multi-Topper, I shouldn't even be allowed on the streets. Nah! It's ALWAYS the Driver's Fault.

Yup. Even when insiders f--k up orders, such as forgetting to make an item, which delays the delivery times. Today I had to wait for wings the cook forgot to load for an order (along with other mistakes made by the cooks earlier), which was part of a far flung double. When I returned, the manager hurried me to take the other deliveries and was on my case for the late delivery times. I told him had the cook not forgotten to load the wings for the previous order and had not made other mistakes earlier, the delivery times wouldn't have been so high. It's always the driver's fault. He rarely gets on the cooks case about making mistakes. It's always the driver's fault. Even when I tell cooks they forgot to load something or if they made the wrong pizza, they get pissy and blame the driver for their error. I've figured I work with too many people filled with self-hatred and feel the need to take out their issues on others. I no longer let their issues get to me. I laugh at it. I used to expect a higher degree of professionalism and consideration from my Pig3 co-workers, but I've learned I can't expect much from these under-paid and over-worked haters. I just get in, do my job, ignore the noise around me and get the f--k out.

I really hate it when the GM and other insiders blame everything on the driver. The other night a driver got back from a delivery and one of the insiders had already bagged the next delivery and it was waiting on the hot rack. The custy calls saying that she had gotten the wrong pizza then when the driver gets back he gets blamed for not checking the order to make sure that everything was right. HELLO! The insider was the one who boxed it and bagged it so go after them! I do check my orders though. Just in case.

I've learned to never ever trust anyone else to bag your orders. NEVER!!!

Lets see...there was a manager and another driver. The manager is always right, or thats what they think or order to be true, so that leaves the other driver. The GM is thinking either way a driver is at fault. Since you are the leader of the drivers, its your fault.

Welcome to the world of the Pig3. Take the blame or quit. Managers and insiders (even the one's who drive occasionally or used to drive) seem to by default blame the drivers for many mistakes. Whenever drivers make legitimate complaints about missing sides, pizzas that haven't been made, smashed pizzas due to an insider who didn't use box supports or whatever which jeopardize delivery orders fall on deaf ears.

At my store, 9 times out of 10, its the cut persons fault, but the driver gets blamed for taking the wrong pizza. I personally check every order to make sure all is included(right pizza, sauces, ranches, etc). We were so busy this past weekend, the cut was not putting the marinara and icing in the 10 dollar dinner boxes.

Its a tip killer . I suppose I should be happy to get a $2 tip for delivering fattening breadsticks, fattening breadsticks, and fattening breadsticks with different flavors on each. The other part is we are always running out of them, and it gets interesting to see what passes for 'proofed' from the stressed out insiders. I guess its better than what passes for "How many breadsticks are there?" as far as using breadsticks cooked previously.

I rarely, if EVER, make mistakes on bagging and/or taking orders. And everyone knows it. So I don't get the blame for that stuff. That said, I CHECK my orders both before I leave and in the car. That way if someone has screwed up it doesn't cost me two trips. What DOES piss me off is when things don't get made or have to get remade and it delays my delivery time. Delay in delivery = less tip. That ten dollar box is going to be the death of me, I swear...
